We’ll Take Manhattan sees Barnard take on the role of iconic photographer David Bailey and tells the story of his 1962 Vogue photo-shoot with model Jean Shrimpton.

I have to say that he was possibly one of the loveliest actors I’ve interviewed he was very down to earth and extremely passionate about his new project. Below is a copy of the article, which was in the July copy of Buzz. I can’t remember where I saved the original full-length transcription of the interview but I’ll have a good look through my files and post it underneath when retrieved!

Aneurin Banard Interview

It seems like forever since I last posted a blog. I’ve been in the grips of this awful Christmas cold which seems to be with me for life and I’m beavering away on the new website which I HOPE to have finished by the end of the week so apologies for the absence.

I’ve loads to blog about, especially about my new obsession with coconut oil (more of that on the new site). But today I’m interested in the story about Emma Stone (Hollywood Star) attributing grapeseed oil as the key to her clear and well, lets face it perfect complexion.

Apparently she splashes it on her face several times a day and at a cost of around £2 a bottle it’s a pretty inexpensive skin care regime.

I have a strong affinity with using natural oils etc when it comes to wellbeing and skin care. My grandmother was from Malta so as you can imagine she used to dole out advice left, right and center on Mediterranean methods. From using oil to get rid of stretch marks so you look amazing in your bikini right through to using it as a way to manage your weight and look great in jeans so its good to see Hollywood stars continuing the trends.

I’m starting to think about following more of a Mediterranean diet and method for 2012 – again something which I’ll probably delve in to further in future blog posts. But if for now you fancy doing an Emma and grabbing some grapeseed oil here are some facts:

• Grapeseed oil is almost odourless and light in texture the natural product is said to be easily absorbed by the skin and is commonly used as a massage oil.
• Its been used for centuries by the ancient Greeks and the Egyptians
• The benefits are two fold, it protects your face from the sun as it has SPF properties and it also protects your skin against wrinkles.
• It has high levels of vitamin E!

Worth giving a go for the £2 price tag right?

I’m not usually one for low alcohol booze, it doesn’t usually have the same taste and is a little like glorified grape juice but surprisingly Stowells Light is refreshingly different and full of flavor {with the added benefit of having 30% less calories than most Australian wine}.

Of course you don’t have to just have it straight out of the bottle (not literally), I’ve found this recipe for a great White Wine Cocktail, which is perfect for the Christmas season…

Sparkling cranberry sangria

Ingredients:
1 bottle white wine
25 oz. sparkling cranberry
1 apple, thinly sliced
1/2 cup fresh cranberries

Directions: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the following ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.

A few things:
Each glass of Stowells light is just 60 calories (for a 125ml glass) and it’s a low alcohol choice at just 5.5% – less than one unit per glass. This is a sponsored post and whilst it may be Christmas I’d like to just remind you all to drink responsibly.

How to make:
Pop in equal parts of (cold) espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur (I used tia maria) and butterscotch schnapps (you can also use toffee vodka if you’d prefer a little less booze).

Mix it up, pop in a few ice cubes and serve.

I can’t believe that it was a year ago today that I went with my gorgeous friend Daren to see the Scissor Sisters in Cardiff. There was snow on the ground, it was freezing COLD and yet we still got our glitter out and our heels (well I did, not Daren} on and we headed out.

This year really has shot by. I know it’s a sign of aging when you start the whole “I just can’t believe its November/December” thing {see the Michael McIntyre clip below} but it does seem like just yesterday I was getting ready to battle the snow!!
I had SO many goals to achieve this year {although technically as my business year is April to April I can still achieve them} and I don’t think I’ve managed to tick as many off my list as I should have. However, I’m currently working on my new personal website which should tick a few boxes!!
