Around the web: Cardiff Tiltshift Edition

Afternoon folks,

Can’t believe it’s Friday already! Just a short around the web today as I’m about to go get ready to see Jason Donovan strut his stuff at the Cardiff Millennium Centre which brings me nicely to my first find this week….

Guest bloggers wanted! I’m looking for some guest bloggers to take over the reigns whilst I go soak up the sun in Sardinia. If you have a lifestyle type post that you would like to contribute then send me a message – it doesn’t have to be a unique posting if you’d like to share a post from your own blog that’s fine.

Also Rachael Blogs will soon be accepting sponsorship…I’m working on a page with all the details but if you’re interested and would like to advertise your blog or small business then get in touch before September 5th for a VERY special offer and all the information! rachaelblogs@gmail.com

Around The Web: Friday Panel Edition

What a week!! I’ve not had much time to blog due to my gorgeous little pooch Georgie going to the vets for some major surgery so it’s been a week of rushing around.

Poor poochi...

Anyway…yesterday (Friday) I was invited along to be part of the Friday panel on the BBC Wales phone in with Jason Mohammed (<*LOVE* him). I had a wonderful time and if you’d like to have a little listen via iPlayer and then skip forward about 1 hour 15 mins in.

Around the web:
I HAVE to do a blog on this subject some time this week…the museum of broken relationships is coming to London.

A blog post by notnownancy was an interesting one. StupidMarkets told the story how she was frogmarched by security and accused of stealing from Tesco. ** Edited to add – I don’t normally do two posts from the same blog in one post (mouthful) but just read this one had had to share! Facebook: Its not you, its me.

Over-sharing 2.0: the rise of the couple bloggers < THIS irritates me. Not the article but the over sharers. Do yourself a favour – keep it to yourself!

I’m about to start a course to become a certified Life coach. I know I’ve mocked them a little in the past and I promise you all I won’t become a cardigan wearing bore when I start. I’m so interested in the NLP process and holistic therapies coupled with the fact I love talking through ideas and enjoy cooking up plans that I think I’ll make a pretty good coach. So this blog on whats the difference between coaching and psychotherapy is very good…ps if you’d like to be a case study and have some free coaching – get in touch! x

Have a fab weekend all!!

Weekend Wanders: Ogmore-by-Sea & Merthyr Mawr

*** THIS BLOG HAS NOW MOVED…CHECK OUT RACHAELPHILLIPS.NET FOR MORE WEEKEND WANDER GOODNESS ***

Another little Welsh adventure for this weekend. We headed to the coast and made our first stop at Ogmore-by-Sea…

Ogmore-by-Sea in Bridgend is a gorgeous, vast sandy beach with sweeping views over the Bristol channel to Exmoor. It’s a great place to head to if you have dogs as they’re allowed on the beach all year around. Be aware if you head a little further down the coast to Southerndown then dogs aren’t permitted to go on the beach but they can of course go along the coastal path so you can still enjoy the magnificent views.
