This wonderful piece in the L.A Times inspired me to write this post. I first went to New York in 2004 and it was totally impulsive move..I thought about it on the Sunday night, Monday I booked the flights and Thursday of the same week I was travelling to London Heathrow ready to board my flight to JFK. I had the most amazing time, despite having barely any money and no real clue of where to go first I loved it.
Here are a few reasons why…
- Its like walking around on a film set.
- The culture (Broadway, museums)
- The landmarks (statue of liberty, empire state building...)
- The shopping (who wouldn’t love the shopping?)
- The chaos (love the buzz of the big city)
- The “have a nice day” factor (the best customer service EVER)
- The food (naturally, although portions are *way* to big)
