Hiding behind the screen…

When no longer being anonymous quashes creativity…

Life was so much easier when no one knew who I was. I’m not saying that people know who I am now of course, I’m not pretending to be any kind of celebrity or “guru” but you know, when rachaelblogs was hidden away from friends, family and more importantly…boyfriends it was a different style.

Being anonymous gives you that freedom to just come out with what you want, when you want and how you want. The fear of “shall I publish this in case it upsets X,Y,Z” is removed and the full flow of your thoughts and feelings can resume as normal.

I know being anonymous has it’s drawbacks too, you get the odd sector of society who use it to do things they’d never do to someone’s face – but let’s face it, in general they are always going to be losers. {yes I did the hand gesture – no not that one…the L – honest}.

It does get in the way though, this whole people knowing who you are thing. I’ve recently gone back to my full name on twitter so I feel like this blog is kinda back to being a little bit private.

Although not quite.

This blog post was inspired by a good chat from the fabulous @debsylee go and check out her blog HERE.
