Around The Web: Friday Panel Edition

What a week!! I’ve not had much time to blog due to my gorgeous little pooch Georgie going to the vets for some major surgery so it’s been a week of rushing around.

Poor poochi...

Anyway…yesterday (Friday) I was invited along to be part of the Friday panel on the BBC Wales phone in with Jason Mohammed (<*LOVE* him). I had a wonderful time and if you’d like to have a little listen via iPlayer and then skip forward about 1 hour 15 mins in.

Around the web:
I HAVE to do a blog on this subject some time this week…the museum of broken relationships is coming to London.

A blog post by notnownancy was an interesting one. StupidMarkets told the story how she was frogmarched by security and accused of stealing from Tesco. ** Edited to add – I don’t normally do two posts from the same blog in one post (mouthful) but just read this one had had to share! Facebook: Its not you, its me.

Over-sharing 2.0: the rise of the couple bloggers < THIS irritates me. Not the article but the over sharers. Do yourself a favour – keep it to yourself!

I’m about to start a course to become a certified Life coach. I know I’ve mocked them a little in the past and I promise you all I won’t become a cardigan wearing bore when I start. I’m so interested in the NLP process and holistic therapies coupled with the fact I love talking through ideas and enjoy cooking up plans that I think I’ll make a pretty good coach. So this blog on whats the difference between coaching and psychotherapy is very good…ps if you’d like to be a case study and have some free coaching – get in touch! x

@markofrespect blogged about #bannedwords – join in the discussion.

Seth Godin – Wasting time is not a waste

and finally…

Beware of the gmail hackers!

Have a fab weekend all!!

New Edition to the Phillips Family…

6 years ago I homed a beautiful little Westie called Georgie (aka Princess Georgie) and ever since I’ve been vowing to take in another dog as a pal for her.

It may have taken me a while to get around to it but here is our new edition…Scooby.

He’s a gorgeous a 3-year-old Cairn who’s had a terrible start in life. He wasn’t ever taken for walks, was never played with and his previous owners left him riddled with fleas – so bad that he got an allergy and his fur fell out. Then one day they decided that they just didn’t want him anymore and dumped him.

He’s been in the Croft Rescue Centre for a couple of months and despite two big bald patches on his back his fur is starting to grow back. He’s such a gorgeous and happy dog that it’s impossible to image how anyone could treat him so badly.

We are REALLY excited to have him as part of our little family and so pleased we have been able to give a dog a good home!

However if anyone has any tips on training a rescue dog then PLEASE feel free to share!

Goodbye 2010…

Ok so I’m a bit late with this post {what’s new!}. 2010 wasn’t a bad year, in fact it was a great year. I met some wonderful people, did some wonderful things and most of all learnt some very important lessons along the way.

After moving the majority of my old posts away from this site just the other week {they’re still around if you REALLY want to see them) because I wanted a fresh start blog-wise I’ve decided that in 2011 I shall renew my enthusiasm for blogging and will here on in be a daily blogger {ish…because lets face it there will be days when I’m too hungover/tired/forgetful/busy/stressed/internet-less/etc etc}. I will try to blog at least every day, I can’t promise it’ll be interesting or well thought out and it’ll mostly be about me but fingers crossed I can cover most days!

Anyway…

So rather than bore you with all the details of 2010 here are a few photographs from my year…enjoy x

Ps: I’d like to thank @Janeslee for her help in bringing me that step closer to touching Mr Phillips also @holyschmoke & @grazinator for being there to witness the window loving moment. Also a big thanks to all the other people who made 2010 so wonderful, there are way, way too many to list right now but you know who you are! {Especially you @debsylee and you @thud_hardbutt}
